Oh, Canada!! How I do love our neighbors to the north. As a Minnesotan, I kinda think I'm part Canadian. It's only just up there, across the border. Oh, please Canada, can you just adopt MN? We have a lot of lakes and art and gosh darn-it, we're nice.

Beautiful Karen, love the scenes, the family pictures, the laughter, the fun! I am a fellow child of a Canadian. My paternal grandfather immigrated from Finland, met my grandmother and they lived in the small harbor town of Thunder Bay. My father made sure we went every summer to visit family, frolic in Lake Superior, and eat (and eat, and eat) special pastries made by my grandmother, with afternoon coffee, made by throwing grounds in a pot and boiling it. I gained 5-10 pounds during every trip! My father came to the U.S. for his surgical residency where he met my mom in Saint Louis, before we moved to the California coast near the Port of Los Angeles, another Harbor town that reminded him of Thunder Bay. Yes, Oh Canada, my home and native land! We sang that often.
