Thank you Karen. As a lifelong victim of bullying, I know how subtle it can be. I don't have the gumption to step away from everything I know and love to move away from it. All I can do is try not to give them opportunities.

Amen Sista! I'm sorry you have had to experience lifelong bullying. Hoping that your inner Gesene, armed with pen as your sword, can live the beautiful and unbullied life you deserve!

Perfect piece for our times. Thanks Karen. Another great article. Blue skies… Chatty Kathy 🩵

Thanks Kathy! I know that the name Kathy has has been a target of name bullying for far longer than Karen. One of my dear friends Kathy V jokes that Karens have nothing on a Kathy scorned. We have joked we may create a tee shirt with two women identified as Kathy and Karen, and Kathy says, "Karen, hold my beer." (She's about to take care of business!) Blue skies AND blue seas greetings from Antarctica!

Thank you, Karen. You gave me excellent questions for self-reflection.

Thanks so much Rebby. As writers, we must be particularly mindful of our words and how we use them. You would be proud of me- I expanded my Life as a Palette yesterday and explored the fun world of watercolor. My Chinstrap penguins inspired by our Antarctic trip may not be perfect, but they are identifiable for what they are and it was fun! Cheers to you.

I try to steer myself away from perfect. Not always easy. I love that you are doing it!

One of the things I enjoy most about your writing is that many of your pieces stay with me.

They resonate on a more spiritual level and I often go back and reread what you’re written. Thank you for encouraging your readers to look inwards and, in my case, do better!

Gratitude.

Thanks so much Lisa! I guess that is about the best compliment a writer can receive and what successful communication is all about. Thank you my thoughtful friend! Gary and I sent you and John Valentine's greetings from the Drake Passage and Antarctica!

Thanks Ms. B- always great to hear from you. Today- we wake up on the Drake Passage heading north from Antarctica. Life is good and kindness is always welcome, wherever on the planet one is! Cheers to you, my friend!

That was an excellent piece Karen. Really makes one think and hopefully become more mindful. Learning to diffuse it without being overly confrontational is another goal. Maybe just offering a nice alternative observation or viewpoint.
